Where does your money actually go?
Your supporter's bank to your bank. That is the whole path.
Step by step
- They pick an amount on your page.
- Their UPI app opens with your UPI ID, the amount and a note in it.
- They confirm with their own PIN, inside their own app.
- Their bank sends the money to your bank.
- Your bank credits your account and sends you its usual message.
Kulhad appears in step 2 only, as the thing that filled in the fields. After they confirm, it is not involved.
Who takes a cut
Nobody. There is no gateway between the two banks, so there is nothing in the middle asking to be paid. The amount they send is the amount that lands.
When it arrives
Seconds. UPI is immediate. If it has not arrived within a minute, something failed rather than something is slow.
What there is to transfer out
Nothing. There is no Kulhad balance and no wallet. The money is in your bank account from the moment it is sent, which is also why there is no minimum, no threshold and no schedule.
What you owe on it
Money people send you is income and there is no tax free UPI allowance. Keep the spreadsheet from the Supporters screen; that is the record you will want. What you owe depends on your own situation and a person who does tax for a living is the one to ask.
What Premium changes about any of this
Nothing. It is a fee you pay Kulhad for features on your page. It never touches the money your supporters send.
