How to choose your page name

Your page name is the last part of your address. Pick "chai" and your page is at kulhad.co/chai.

You can claim it from the box on the home page or from the sign up screen. Type a name and it tells you straight away whether it is free.

What is allowed

• Between 3 and 30 characters.
• Lower case letters, numbers and hyphens.
• It has to start and end with a letter or a number.
• One hyphen at a time. "chai-wala" is fine, "chai--wala" is not.

Capitals are turned into lower case for you, so you do not have to worry about typing it a particular way.

Names you cannot take

Some names are held back because they are already parts of the site, like "dashboard", "login" or "premium". Others are held back because a page at that address would look like it belongs to Kulhad or to a bank: "upi", "payment", "refund", "kulhad" and a few more.

If you try one of those you are told it is taken and you pick again.

If somebody already has it

Try a variation. Adding what you do usually reads better than adding numbers, so "priya-sings" beats "priya2". The name shows up printed on posters and written into people's phones, so short and easy to say out loud is worth more than clever.

Changing it later

You can change it in Settings. The old address stops working the moment you do, so anything already printed or pasted into a bio points at nothing. See Changing your page name.
