How to set your amounts and what to call them

The chips on your pay card come from Settings under Payments. You choose the numbers and what each one is called.

Adding and changing them

Each row is an amount and a label. Add a row, set the amount, write the label. Drag to reorder. Three or four is the usual number; more than five and people stop reading and type their own.

Somebody can always type an amount that is not on the list. The box for it is under the chips.

The labels

This is the part worth spending a minute on. A chip that says 50 asks somebody to work out whether 50 is a lot. A chip that says "one chai" tells them what normal looks like here.

Name them after something real in your world. A chai, a plate of food, a metre of thread, an hour of studio time, a shagun. Whatever you would actually say.

The ready made sets

Kulhad ships a few sets you can pick from if you do not want to write your own. They are a starting point rather than a recommendation, and editing them is expected.

Big amounts

The pay card warns somebody before a large payment, because UPI apps often refuse a big first payment to an address that person has never paid before. See The five thousand rupee limit.

The most anybody can send in one go through your page is one lakh, which is also where most UPI apps stop.
