How to change your page language

There are two language settings and they do different things. Both are in Settings.

• Page language is what your supporters read. It sets the words on your pay card, the buttons, the wall and the messages Kulhad writes around your content.
• Interface language is what you read in the dashboard. Nobody else sees it.

Setting one does not change the other. A creator can run the dashboard in English and serve a page in Hindi.

The three

English, Hindi and Hinglish, which is Hindi written in Latin letters. Hinglish is a real choice rather than a fallback: it is how a lot of people actually read, and it lands better than Devanagari for an audience that types in Latin script all day.

What stays the same in every language

Amounts, UPI IDs and the four character reference code are always in Latin letters and Arabic numerals. A code written in Devanagari would be unreadable in a bank app, and a bank app is exactly where it has to be read.

Your own words

Your bio, your amount labels, your announcement and your goal are yours. Kulhad does not translate them. Whatever you type is what everybody sees, in every language, so write them in the language your audience reads.

Letting a supporter choose

Somebody who opens your page with a language in the address, like adding ?lang, sees it in that language. This is what the embeds use so a widget on a Hindi site reads in Hindi. You do not have to set anything up for it.
